Gold Fields call options are seeing action Thursday morning, as a weaker dollar and high crude conspire to push gold to $1,000 an ounce. Crude was recently up 8 cents to $110 a barrel. Meanwhile, GFI is leading the mining sector higher, up 57 cents to $16.27 a share with aggressive call buying in the October contract. More than 18,000 calls have already traded, compared to 845 puts. Sentiment is 87 percent bullish.
