The PowerShares DB Gold Fund (DGL) is seeing 14 times its normal trading volume after 10,000 of the January 35 calls were bought to open Thursday morning. The funds price tracks the Deutsche Bank Liquid Commodity Index Optimum Yield Gold Excess Return Index, which is based on gold futures. DGL is up 76 cents to $32.90. Gold is rallying $15.90 to $882.40 an ounce.
