Shares of Lehman (LEH, news, chart) sold off beginning about 13:15 Eastern time. The stock traded down to $19.81, breaking its March lows and falling to its worst levels since June 2000. There was no company specific news on the wires and the decline in the share price appears to be related to chatter of more liquidity issues at a big investment bank. One market watcher points out that similar chatter surfaced last week. This time, the chatter is clearly affecting Lehman. In the options market, 72,000 LEH puts and 50,000 calls have traded so far today.
