The S&P 500 (.SPX) is up 4.6 ponts to 1,267.5 and midway between the day’s high (1273.95) and low (1,262.90). The early rally stalled as the financials came back under pressure. The iShares Broker/Dealer Index Fund (IAI) is down 44 cents to $31.93 a share, now slipping below the 52-week low of $32.04 set last Tuesday and also below its March intraday low of $32.12.
