Aggressive call sellers seen in Jet Blue (JBLU, news, chart) options this afternoon, with sweep orders used to sell 15,000 Jan-09 7.5 calls from 81 to 75 cents over the course of an hour. Stock is currently off 2% near $6.12, and well above the 52wk low of $3.04 set in July. Trade is likely closing, as most of the 30,000 contracts of existing open interest in this option were bought for 30cents at the end of June when the stock was near 3.50. IV at that time was nearly 100%, and while the buyer did well bottom fishing, the collapse of implied vols back to the 75% range eliminated much of his gains.
