RedHat (RHT, news, chart, volatility) is seeing 12 times normal order flow on a surge of call volume. 34,000 contracts have traded, compared to 1300 puts. The January 2010 calls with the 25 strike are the most actives, with almost 28,000 traded–all on the offer. The volume is due mostly to a block of 27,685 calls, largest trade of the year, on the AMEX for 95 cents a contract. Buying seen in March 17.5, January 15 and January 20 calls as well, mostly in orders of 200 contracts or less. Shares are up 45 cents, or 3 percent, to $15.52. No news on RHT. Coming off a 52-week low of $14.74 set yesterday.
