Burst of call buying just hit the tape in Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM, news, chart, volatility), as a buyer paid 90cents for more than 4600 Nov 7.5 Calls. Stock is off slightly, near 8.17, and today’s flow continues what we saw yesterday when more than 10,000 of these calls traded, mostly near 85cents to create new open interest. Total OI at the strike after today’s trading may surpass 20,000 contracts and create a new YTD record.
