Citigroup (C, news, chart, volatility) December 7.5 and December 10 calls are the most actively traded equity options contracts. Shares are up $1.19 to session highs of $8.24 and recent trades include a multi-exchange sweep of December 10 calls hitting offerside for 40 cents per contract. 33,400 have now traded. Another 21,500 December 7.5s have also traded. Sentiment is bullish on the heels of the $20 billion (no strings attached?) capital injection from the US government. Shares are up 170 percent from the lows one week ago. Judging by the flurry of activity Friday morning, some players seem to be looking for further upside between now and December options expiration (21 days).
