Alcon shares are up $1.20 to $163.20 and it looks like someone is taking some profits. The Feb. $155/$170 call spread was sold 5,000 times at 8.00 which is likely closely part of a position opened on 11/4 when the stock was trading around $142 a share. The third leg of that position, a sale of 5,000 of the Feb. $130 puts still looks open and is now sufficiently OTM that it is might be safe to try to let it die worthless. Shares of the Swiss medical device maker gapped up in early December on takeover chatter.
