Sprint call volume is well above normal today, with 46,000 contracts trading by midday as shares trade 5% higher to $4.04 in very heavy volume of 94 million shares. April 4 calls are most active, with 10700 trading in the 18 to 25cent range. May 4 and 5 strike calls also active, with a sweep buyer paying 41 to 42 cents for several thousand May 4 calls just before 10am.

Ford Motor (F) trades up 8 cents to $13.98 and recent trades include the purchase of 12000 Sep 16 calls at 98 cents each. Ford announced today that it will report March sales results on April 1 at approximately Noon ET.

TIVO sees a morning spike to $16.67 (+.52) and early options action is focused on April 17 and 18 calls. 2268 April 17s traded (47% Mid/40% Ask) and 1880 April 18s (35% Mid/37% Ask). Fly On the Wall cites renewed takeover speculation.
