Yamana Gold (AUY) loses 33 cents to $15.76 after gold came off yesterday’s record levels. The yellow metal is down $13.4 to $1876.3 an ounce. Meanwhile, AUY call options are busy this morning after one player bought 4,100 Oct 12 calls at $4.10, bought 7,300 Oct 13 calls at $3.25, and sold 13,000 April 20 calls at 90 cents. The activity might roll a position to out-of-the-money Jan 20 calls from in-the-money Oct 12 and 13s — perhaps part of overwriting strategies on the Toronto-based gold miner. Shares touched new 52-week highs yesterday and have rallied 36.9 percent since June.
