PowerShares QQQ (QQQ) adds 36 cents to $63.56 and 39000 Sep 52 – 60 put spreads are sold on the ETF at 81 cents. Two minutes later, 12000 Sep 110 – 127 put spreads are sold on the SPY at $1.185. Some investors are possibly liquidating downside put spreads on the ETFs on the heels of today’s market advance.
