The top options trade so far on a relatively slow morning of trading heading into today’s FOMC statement is a 25000-lot of Jan14 $14 puts on the SPDR Financials (XLF) for 99 cents on AMEX. It was bought. Another 40,000 of the same contract traded on ISE and was opening customer buyer, according to ISEE data. 65K now traded against 12K in open interest and the puts are tied to 1.75 millions shares. XLF is up 10 cents to $15.94 and struggling to recover the 27-cent loss from the day before.
