The continued strength comes amid no news items and is perhaps motivating some short interest to hedge their bets with call options. More than 10 million shares of VRNG were in the hands of short sellers as of Oct 15, according to data from Yahoo Finance, which is about one-third of the total shares outstanding. Short squeeze is on and options volume is 2,800 calls and 400 puts. Nov 4 calls are the most actives. 1,221 traded. Interest is also being seen in Nov 3.5, 4.5, 7.5 and even 10 calls on VRNG in early action.
