What’s Behind T Mobile US (TMUS) Call Volume Spike

| June 27, 2013 | 0 Comments More

T-Mobile (TMUS) adds 6 cents to $23.70 and an investor sells 10,000 Aug 24 calls on the stock at $1.52 to buy 11,000 Aug 26 calls for 86 cents each. The spread traded on ISE and data from the ISEE suggest rolling up in strike prices. Looks like the Aug 24 calls were opened on 6/14 for $1.05. The stock is up 7 percent since that time and, while the investor is monetizing the gain in the position, they are also opening a large block of calls in the Aug 26s in anticipation of further strength in TMUS.
